Organise your essentials when going out

1. Organise your essentials when going out

An Organised Life

Have you ever felt like there’s lots to do and you have so little time on your hands? We've just entered 2019 with many new goals and resolutions and I'm sure we all want to innovate our way of working to improve our lifestyles. That’s the main reason why we should stay organised and it’s an essential habit that we should get accustomed to. Some of the benefits of staying organised are: it increases productivity, reduces levels of stress and because you are always punctual, you are sure to reach your set deadlines. Who wouldn’t love that?

Whether you are at home, going out, or travelling, staying organised will help you throughout your journey and you will end up doing more than initially anticipated.

2. How to get organised?

Essentials when going out

A major aide in staying organised is the use of the right equipment. A day out requires planning so that you can enjoy your day and make it a successful one, whether it’s a day out shopping or working. Let’s see some of the essentials to consider for an organised day out:

a. A Work Case

I have recently been using the Simple Luxe Leather Work Case and find that it’s perfect to carry my essentials. As a bonus, it acts as my makeup kit too! It's black, which makes it seamless to pair with any outfit and has a chic classy look. It is divided into 2 compartments with 3 pockets which makes it easy to keep my essentials neat and easy to reach. I use the front compartment to carry my phone, my cards, my keys and my power bank and the back compartment to carry my diary, my makeup and a pen.

b. Your diary

Firstly, why carry a diary? A diary is a perfect reminder to stay organised throughout your journey, it is where you’ll find your inspiration, your goals and the steps that you need to take to reach them. It has all the important information including your schedules and contacts which will help keep you on track.

Planning: Start out by planning your day. Firstly, there are different types of diaries, some with a format where you answer personalised questions and others are blank. I prefer blank diaries, as you can plan it out according to what motivates you, is easier for you and what makes you happy. You can also get creative with your diary by using washi tapes or other crafts items to divide your diary into sections and categories.

For example:  If you are going out, the time would be important, to remind you to get to places on time. A to-do list to assist with what you have to look for during your shopping trip and the important notes side where you’ll jot down points that are interesting or need review later on. Lastly don't forget a memories section which will help capture moments of your trip, confirm things you’ve done during a particular day or just to evaluate where you are compared to what you’d planned.

c. Your phone

A smart phone is amongst the most important item that we should have in our arsenal of tools. It acts as a reminder, by setting alarms for example to remind you of your important appointments and phone calls, or can also be used for emergency calls if you find yourself in an unexpected predicament.

d. Your power bank

It's no secret that smart phones and tablets have grown to be widely used in this day and age and we all hate the dreaded 1% battery indicator. A power bank is of utmost importance especially when you have to travel or are outside and away from electricity. It should form part of your essentials when going out. There is nothing worse than planning out a schedule on your smart phone or tablet only to find it has run out of charge at an important moment. You would be missing your phone or tablet to remind you of your schedule or just wouldn't be able to make use of geo-location mapping apps to reach your destination. As a result your productivity would be offset, negating all the hard work put in to organise a perfect schedule in the first place. A power bank will definitely save you in instances where your phone is running low on charge, allowing you to never miss capturing those precious moments. It’s also very important if you are travelling long distances.

The above photo is an idea of all the essentials that we've discussed earlier for an organised day out. Remember if you have an organised life or decide to have one, you'll find yourself ahead of what you've expected.

Thank you for stopping by! If you use other methods of organising your day out, please feel free to share it with everyone in the comment section below.
